The unisex wooden mannequin has long served as both a tool and a source of inspiration for artists. Traditionally, the mannequin was posed in various positions for artists to use as a guideline for their work. The mannequin was the perfect subject to use as a guide because of its many posable joints.
Thanks to the spark of Vine, the woodman has found a new life. This week’s very special Vine Challenge is guest-hosted by master of stop-motion Ian Padgham, who has become synonymous with the Woodman — a term he fostered through an astonishing series of videos. Read more…
