Did your SMS marketing campaign fail a CTIA audit in June? If so, you’re not alone, as 20% of SMS marketing advertisements that were audited by the CTIA in June, and 42.3% of SMS marketing messages failed their CTIA audits. The CTIA audited 1,751 campaigns, with 386 of those campaigns failing their audits. The most common CTIA audit failure, accounting for over 20% of all CTIA audit failures, was the fact that campaigns had no mention that “message and data rates may apply” in their advertising of their campaign.
