Ad tech company Perion has announced it is acquiring Paris-based social advertising management firm MakeMeReach, which will become part of Perion’s mobile division, integrated into its GrowMobile platform
MakeMeReach’s AdsOptim technology enables mobile developers to drive their ad campaigns on social media and mobile, and will expand GrowMobile’s mobile media buying capabilities to include social media.
The acquisition aims to solidify Perion’s GrowMobile platform as a complete mobile ad management system which enables developers to manage and scale user acquisition campaigns.
“Acquiring MakeMeReach furthers our position as one of the leading providers of mobile marketing technology,” said Shai Gottesdiener, general manager of the mobile division at Perion. “MakeMeReach’s mission of making it easy to advertise on social media aligns with Perion’s goal of providing developers with the most effective mobile advertising tools, making this a really great fit for our product and company.”
In addition to adding social media functionality to Perion’s platform, the acquisition will create a new European office for GrowMobile which will lead EU sales operations. The entire team at MakeMeReach will be retained as part of Perion.
“We are really excited to become a part of the Perion team and to be able to leverage the resources of the Perion and GrowMobile teams to continue making AdsOptim the world’s best social media advertising tool,” said Pierre-François Chiron, CEO of MakeMeReach. “Additionally, we believe that the European market offers significant opportunities for Perion and we are looking forward to helping the company expand its footprint across the continent.”
