Motorola officially launches the Moto X on Friday, along with Moto Maker — the tool that lets smartphone shoppers customize the look their new smartphones. Although the Moto X will be available on five carriers, Moto Maker is exclusive to AT&T at launch.
I got a chance to check out Moto Maker early, and my customized Moto X arrived this week. The web app lets you pick everything from the color of your phone’s buttons, down to its wallpaper. Motorola will send your finished product within four days of your order — all for the same price as the standard-colored phones from store shelves.
