Mobile is increasingly becoming central to more and more people’s shopping habits, with 46 per cent describing their mobile device as their ‘most important shopping resource’.
According to a new report by xAd and Telemetrics that surveyed over 2,000 UK smartphone users, mobile has shifted to a key part of the decision making process when it comes to shopping within the retail, insurance and telecom categories, with 50 per cent beginning their research into products on their phone. Bricks and mortar stores are not necessarily being abandoned though – 31 per cent reported visiting a physical store as part of their shopping process.
