Shazam has updated its Android app to enable users to buy Shazammed tracks directly from the Google Play store.

People can also find, share and buy top tracks in their area, city or worldwide through the Explore map feature.

Speaking to Mobile Marketing in October, Shazam's executive director Andrew Fisher hinted at a 2014 IPO for the British-based company. He said that through its audio campaigns, the platform has already driven more than 500,000 users a year to buy $300m of goods and services.
