This week is another big one for Apple. The company is holding an event on Thursday, and we’ll likely see the launch of its next-generation iPads and iMacs. It’s unknown if we can expect to see other hardware launches, too, like a new Apple TV box — or the official arrival of HomeKit alongside it
There’s a good chance Apple will tell us more about its HomeKit platform that will eventually allow users to users to control locks, lights, cameras, doors, thermostats, plugs and switches at the home. Developers and manufacturers confirm to Mashable they’re hard at work building for Apple HomeKit, noting it’s coming “soon,” and industry experts believe it’s coming “by the end of the year.” Read more…
