Uber announced “surge drop,” a new feature meant to help its users find cheaper rides, on Monday
The feature, which notifies users when lower rates are available, will be rolling out to iOS users this week in an update.
With surge drop, Uber users can enable push alerts that will notify them when surge pricing ends and a lower fare becomes available.
“In addition to seeing clear information about surge pricing in the app, you’ll be able to wait it out for a cheaper ride and get notified if surge ends,” said the company in a blog post explaining the changes. Read more…
